Blueprint 535W43
Blueprint: 535W43

When 535W43, a boutique luxury residential building in Hell’s Kitchen, opened its doors this past summer, the 14-story dual-tower structure featured something inhabitants of the concrete jungle rarely expect: extensive, lush gardens. Atop each tower is a landscaped terrace, fully equipped for alfresco cooking, dining and lounging. Connecting the two edifices is a two-story garden courtyard, meant to “offer residents a peaceful retreat in the heart of an urban setting,” according to landscape architect Hank White of HMWhite, who graciously appointed the space with such seasonal foliage as Bowhall Red Maples and American Hornbeam.
