There are a lot of things we’re going to miss about summer: long swims, sand between our toes, no school zones, strawberry hand pies, but most of all, we’re going to miss outdoor living. There’s something magical about doing as much living outside your beloved four walls, as you do inside of them, and we’re not quite prepared to give it up. Instead of mourning the return of jackets and having to trade-in marshmallow-roasting bonfires for fireplaces, though, we’re celebrating; it would be hard not to when faced with an open-to-the-elements space as achingly gorgeous as the one in this Corona del Mar, California, home by architect Fleetwood Joiner and designer James Magni.
