Nothing makes us swoon more than when functional objects for the home double as a piece of décor. If you are anything like us, you'll love Liquid Lights by Kristine Five Melvær. Liquid Light is part of the Still Life Project where Melvær's reinterprets traditional still life motives. Inspired by the Cobblers Lamp from the 17th century, the birch wood plate holds the glass carafe and has a brass socket to fit a candle. Once the carafe is filled (with your liquid of choice) you light the candle and voilà, your carafe turns into a lens that amplifies the light! Simplistic, yet so charming.
