editor's obsession: omni side table.

If you had told me a couple of years ago that I would be sitting in front of a computer screen, eyes dreamily glazed over, obsessing over a sculptural little table that is completely decked out in thousands of loose Swarovski crystals, I’m not sure I would’ve believed you. That’s the incredible thing about good design, though; it defies your preconceived notions of beauty and replaces them with something you never would have imagined: something (in my case) curiously sparkly. The Omni Side Table from Brooklyn-based furniture company Hellman-Chang, though, is a little like the surprise party I always wanted but never got, all restrained, sleek lines on the outside, but a full-on, crystal-studded blowout within—and you don’t even need an invite.
